Content Facts

I developed a personal index to measure the value of my belongings based on factors like importance, sentimental value, function, usage frequency, and how I’d react if I lost them. I also tracked the distance each item has travelled with me to explore whether that journey affects its perceived longevity. The index visually maps out the role and emotional weight of each object—often revealing that highly functional items, like my London house keys, hold little sentimental value despite daily use.

To preserve and reflect on these belongings, I created transparent content boxes containing miniature acrylic replicas of selected items. These serve as memory markers, replacing the originals after their 'expiration date.' Larger items like my mini-oven, used across Seoul, New York, and London, are difficult to keep but rich in emotional significance. By using miniatures, I retain the essence without the physical burden. The transparent boxes invite interaction, offering visibility and intimacy while sparking conversations about memory, attachment, and why certain objects are chosen over others.
