Two Places at Once

Two Places at Once' is based on my nostaglia of winter street snacks back home in Korea. When I first arrived in New York, the place was nothing like I expected. The streets were full of trash and homeless people, and the food was so salty, it was difficult to have more than 3 bites. This really made me want to go back home, and made me find and emotional connection which is food. Out of all the yummy street food, the cold winds of winter made me remember 'Bungeo-ppang', which is a fish shaped pastry with sweet read bean paste inside. I illustrated not only the visal aspect of Bungeo-ppang but also the history and famous stories behind it. This is done in the format of a webtoon; a long comic strip
